Ok well they're like star fruits and it's said that if they share it with someone their destinies become intertwined and are always with each other and blah blah blah. I think somehow that the paopu was a really important part of the story and not just put in for cuteness. In a way it was a symbol of Kairi and Sora, and how when they were little they drew the picture in the cave sharing a paopu, and finished it off at the end of the game. It's so cute. And the other theory is that it's cow poop mixed with drugs and that's how kairi got her big head but let's not go there.
